Connected to the Source

One thing that I constantly challenge myself to do is stay connected to God. I really want to be one of those people that carve out 30 minutes each morning, before the hustle and bustle to read the Bible. I read devotionals, and I have a reading streak Monday-Thursday but the weekend I just forget. I read my devotional at work before I start my day, but I just feel that it’s something I should do before even leaving the house. Anything can happen between the time I leave my house to the time I get to work. I go through the motion of asking people over and over, what’s your routine for devotion? to see if they have one that I can follow. Truth is, I’m committed to sleep and it’s hard for me to wake up any earlier. There is no good excuse as to why I can’t get in the habit of spending time with God through reading the Bible daily.

Even though I will continue to work at creating this time, WHAT I KNOW NOW, through a devotional called God Will Meet You, is that we have to know where we are mentally and spiritually more importantly God knows & he meets us there. We can connect with him at any time or place and it’s best to do it, when our mind is the clearest to retain the message that God has for us. Just because the morning is my desire, doesn’t mean it has to be yours, create the time(s) that best fits you and let’s stay in tune with God.

What is your routine for devotion? ๐Ÿ™‚

This week I will challenge myself to start my morning devotion 20min before getting ready for work. What will you challenge yourself to do to connect to the source this week? Let’s talk about it and do this together!
